Our online calendar below will show you our live availability for your perfect break in North Devon.

Weekly prices in peak periods apply for stays of 7 days commencing on a Friday, which is our changeover day.

Short breaks are available off peak, as well as last minute breaks.

If a price is not shown for a length of stay you are looking for then please submit an enquiry using the form below, or contact us as we are happy to discuss alternative start dates when possible. If you would like to book a property with a hot tub but not use it do let us know as we can remove this cost.

A deposit is due upon booking and the balance payable eight weeks before the holiday. Bank transfer is our preferred payment method, if selected upon booking the account transfer details will be sent, but you are equally welcome to pay online with a credit or debit card.

We are on a select few advertising platforms – we are happy to guarantee you the best rates when you book direct with us at Coulscott, so do let us know if you have ever seen your perfect break elsewhere for less (unlikely, but just in-case!) so we can amend.

Swimming Pool and Hot Tubs

HOT TUBS

Ultimate relaxation

Indulge in the ultimate relaxation as you immerse yourself in the tranquil embrace of our inviting hot tubs and pools.

From May to the end of September, guests can enjoy the shared used of a five metre heated outdoor swimming pool (additional charge applies). Our recently installed decking area by the swimming pool provides the ideal place to sit and relax overlooking our lovely gardens. There is also a covered seating area with barbeques in the gardens.

Hot Tub & Heated Pool Charges

During your stay you will also have access to a shared heated pool (seasonal) and there is potential to book one of the two hot tubs on site for the duration of your stay. Please ensure you pre book the amenities prior to arrival. All amenities are on a first come, first served basis.

We appreciate the amenities may not appeal to everyone so they are not included into the price of your stay, therefore additional charges apply for their use. We charge £30 per day for private use of the hot tub and £15 per hour for private use of the pool.

THE ENVIRONMENT

The Carpenter’s Natural Environment

At the bottom of the courtyard a traditional 5-bar Devon gate leads to our area of tranquillity. This incorporates an orchard, children’s play area, sheep and lamb paddocks, pig pens and seating for relaxation and the enjoyment of Carpenter’s pure natural environment.

Keep strolling towards the next gate which leads to the River Tamar meadows. We have purposely left these meadows as a natural environment with the river, pond and woodland trails.

If you have the patience and the time is right, you can see Red and Roe deer, birds of prey soaring in the thermals, kingfishers sweeping and darting along the river, and majestic otters playing. The idyllic river setting with peace and quiet allows some good fishing, fish include Trout, Roach, Grayling and in late autumn Salmon returning to spawn.

The Smallholding

We have a flock of sheep which we lamb in Spring. As with nature we do have orphan lambs, which gives you a rewarding chance to bottle feed them. We also have some pigs who love to say hello!

Experiencing the animals and countryside is our thing. We as a family always welcome and enjoy any help, be it assisting in feeding the animals or general countryside involvement.

In September we had the pleasure of staying at Carpenter’s Tinney Cottages. This remote getaway proved to be the perfect choice for our family, offering a host of wonderful features that made our stay truly memorable.
