If you’re seeking a holiday that combines relaxation, recreation, and a deep connection with nature, Wild Wanderers Holiday Cottages in Devon has everything you need. Nestled in the heart of this picturesque region, our cottages offer a tranquil escape, and our on-site facilities enhance your stay with an array of options for leisure and enjoyment.

1. Dive into Luxury with a 5-Meter Swimming Pool

During the sun-kissed months from May to the end of September, guests have the opportunity to take a refreshing dip in our heated outdoor swimming pool. Measuring an inviting 5 meters, it’s perfect for both leisurely swims and family fun. There’s an additional charge for the use of the pool, ensuring a serene environment for all to enjoy. As you bask in the pool’s clear waters, take in the stunning views of our well-manicured gardens from the recently installed decking area, the ideal spot to unwind and appreciate the natural beauty that surrounds you.

2. Soothe Your Senses in a Hot Tub

For those who seek the ultimate in relaxation, we offer two hot tubs available for booking during your stay. Immerse yourself in the warm, bubbling waters, and let your cares melt away. To ensure availability, make sure to pre-book your session as these amenities are on a first-come, first-served basis. While there is an additional charge for the hot tub experience, it’s a wonderful way to unwind and savour the peace and tranquility of our Devon retreat.

3. Explore the Natural Beauty of Our Grounds

Wild Wanderers isn’t just about luxurious accommodations; it’s about experiencing the natural world. Stroll down to the bottom of our courtyard and pass through the classic 5-bar Devon gate to enter a serene realm of nature. Here, you’ll find an orchard, a charming children’s play area, paddocks for our sheep and lambs, pig pens, and ample seating for you to relax and immerse yourself in the pure natural environment of Carpenter’s Tinney.

The gateway also leads to the enchanting River Tamar meadows, where we’ve intentionally maintained a natural, unspoiled environment. Here, you can glimpse the wonders of nature in their unaltered state. Keep an eye out for Red and Roe deer, birds of prey soaring in the thermals, kingfishers darting along the river, and the playful antics of majestic otters. If you’re an angler at heart, you can enjoy some peaceful fishing, with a chance to catch Trout, Roach, Grayling, and, in late autumn, Salmon returning to spawn.

4. Get Up Close and Personal with Our Smallholding

One of the highlights of staying at Wild Wanderers is the opportunity to engage with our smallholding. We have a flock of sheep that we lovingly lamb in the spring. Nature sometimes blesses us with orphaned lambs, offering you the unique experience of bottle-feeding them. Additionally, you can visit our friendly pigs, who are always eager to say hello. As a family, we welcome your involvement, whether it’s assisting with feeding the animals or partaking in various countryside activities.

5. Keep Green and Clean with Electric Vehicle Charging

For environmentally conscious travellers, we offer an electric vehicle charging point on-site, ensuring that your eco-friendly journey to Wild Wanderers is not only comfortable but also sustainable.

At Wild Wanderers Holiday Cottages, our goal is to create a haven where you can disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and reconnect with the natural world. With our exceptional facilities and breathtaking surroundings, you’ll have the opportunity to craft the perfect holiday experience, where relaxation, recreation, and nature come together in harmony.
